Pleasant Palace Cleaning and Organizing Service was founded November 2020, built shortly after the CEO & Founder experienced homelessness with her two sons. In 2019, they'd move seven times within nine months and kept their possessions "Tetris-style" in storage. She worked full-time as a Security Officer, but wanted to achieve greater success aligned with her personal goals, so she took on a part-time job as a cleaner for an African-American woman-owned business in Chicago; that's when her professional journey into the cleaning industry began. The experience was great, but overtime work had decreased.
In dedication to leave a lasting legacy, take control of her own time and leverage her nurturing spirit to help others do the same, PPC&O was born! Including sales, she now manages all aspects of the business on a full-time basis and has taken on the role of Lead Organizer. From high-profile individuals to seniors and those afflicted with mental and physical challenges, PPC&O has proudly serviced over 250 homes and commercial spaces in Illinois. Dorothy has invested a considerable amount of time to learn the industry and those they serve, prioritizing staff education to thus develop industry professionals.
Grateful for every experience and all support, Dorothy is committed to continuous growth and giving back. She volunteers, mentors and contributes to various causes, including education, community events, fundraisers and donations of services. She is currently studying business and enjoys history, discovering new products, preparing unique dishes and educating others on financial legacy planning. Above all, she values and cherishes time spent with her family.
